I am a first grade teacher that has recently transferred to a new school in a new state. The curriculum is much different for me, and most of my previous resources do not align with what I am currently teaching. My students are first grade students ranging in age from 6-7. Our school is in an inner city and serves a diverse student population. 98% of my students are living in poverty. Despite their hardships, my students come to school each day eager to learn. My room is filled with young minds ready to be inspired for a life of learning. Our first grade curriculum is very rigorous but our school is lacking in resources. Please help us to achieve a classroom that welcomes and inspires my students each and every day.
