My class is a high energy class of high school students with intellectual disabilities. My students enjoy social studies and science especially the labs. They work hard on both their math and English skills. We participate in Special Olympic events including bowling, basketball, and swimming. My students attend school dances and participate in many school events. We focus on their similarities with their peers but also learn how to advocate for their individual needs.
