The books picked out will help keep my students engaged by allowing to see themselves in the characters. I'd like to ignite my student's passion for reading by giving them a chance to read about people or characters that look like them or have gone through their same struggles. Many of my students come from low income households were books at home are a luxury and rare. I would like for students to have a bountiful library where they can read at home as well as in the classroom. My books will go home with students as well as be used in the classroom for novel studies.

About my class
