Through organized ESports competition students will tie their commitment to gaming to their success in academics and future careers. Mather does not have the adequate resources to provide students a space to develop as a team but we're hoping that will soon change. With four new gaming PCs and monitors students will be able to compete against other schools for scholarships and glory! New devices will allow our students to participate in this year's HSEL Spring Majors, a nationwide, eight-week gaming tournament between official school esports clubs. Students will finally be able to play and compete with their classmates in 11 top video games, with the champions of each game winning a $1,000 scholarship prize.
