By having the white boards, homework folders, and classwork folders, my students will be able to work hard and have the right tools for that. Our families struggle very much. I would like my students to see that the community cares for them and that they deserve all the supplies that are needed in the classroom. Knowing that others care about them will motivate them to work harder. Knowing them, they would want to write thank you notes, as they are very appreciative. Giving low-income students access to all the needed supplies is telling them "we care about you". Our classroom is not fully stocked yet, but I hope it will be soon.
