Children learn through play and dramatic play is one of the areas they are able to do that. Right now we don't have many materials there. The materials we'd like to add will tie into our studies. One particular study we like to do is a "Pet Study". This would be a great opportunity to set up a vet clinic with all the tools and dress up. We also like to do an "Exercise Study". In this study, part of what we learn is how to be healthy in ways such as eating well and going for regular checkups to the doctor/dentist. In this case we could create a doctors office with all the gadgets and things to wear. Our classroom is also in need of a new rug for our circle time. The one were using now is very dirty and worn down with old tape residue from previous years. I would like to replace it with a nice, soft, warm-colored rug for us to meet at.
