My students need technology that focuses on developing early literacy skills such as letter recognition, letter sounds, rhyming words, alliteration, and high frequency words. For math, the requested tablets will focus on developing number recognition, counting, basic addition and subtraction skills, patterns, geometric figures and their characteristics. These tablets will assist students in working independently at their own level and will be available for the students to use during center time, small group, and choice time. Students will be given the opportunity to explore new reading and math skills at a higher level. Through your generous donation some of our students will use technology for the first time, building and expanding their knowledge as they become strong readers and mathematicians. Additionally, they will begin to cultivate their technology skills, preparing them for the years to come.
