About my class

The materials in this project will allow my students to participate in various activities that encourage student-centered learning. Many of my students struggle with engaging critically with literary and informational text. There is an abundance of research that supports annotation of text and the strategic use of graphic organizers to effectively analyze text. In order to teach such strategies, I must make several printed copies that will present the startegies to fit students' learning styles and academic needs. When I envision my classroom, I envision my students using technology, audio, and consumable materials simultaneously. An ideal lesson would have students all engaging in the same material, but in a way that fits their personal learning needs. This project includes items that will allow that ideal lesson to manifest seamlessly. My students will benefit greatly from your donations, and as their teacher I appreciate your generosity.
