My students have the potential to go anywhere they want in life through hard work and determination. They work tirelessly everyday to change their lives, and pave a bright future for themselves. They overcome many obstacles everyday to succeed, and continue to impress me with their grit and ability to see the big picture. I teach at a Title 1 school in Las Vegas, Nevada - where 88% of students are from low income families and 100% are provided free and reduced lunch. An outsider looking in may not see the potential my students have, but when you come into my classroom and speak with my students you quickly realize how much potential they have despite the obstacles they face.
