As members of our school's Dual Language Immersion program, our students are working towards reading, writing, and speaking fluency in both Spanish and English. However, it is often difficult for students to access to Spanish language texts that match both their reading level and interests. In order to foster a love of reading in Spanish and English, my students need a variety of engaging, high-quality books in both languages. The books funded by this project will give my students access to high-quality reading material in different genres in Spanish, allowing them to develop critical reading and biliteray skills and a passion for reading.
