I work in a low-socioeconomic, inner-city school where children face a great deal of adversity. Most of them struggle academically and have difficulties learning. Many of them read below grade level and do not possess adequate skills in mathematics. They require additional resources and interventions to improve their skills. These children deserve better programs that target their specific needs. Despite their daily challenges and set backs, I do my very best each day to provide them with a nurturing environment that promotes hard work and positively reinforces every successful moment in the classroom. My students have the potential to change the world!

About my class
