In the dramatic play area the children will use the fruit and vegetable cut-ups. The giant timers will be used at the computer center. These materials will encourage the children to take turns. Social and emotional development involves more than just expressing one's feelings and emotions. In the science, block and manipulative center children will use pattern blocks design cards, magna- tiles, early science file folder games, blocks and blueprints learning center,how much does it weigh, and hands-on patterning center. These materials will encourage them to control their emotions and engage in meaningful relationships with others. I would like to add bright giant washable color ink pads, upper and lowercase alphabet stamps, lakeshore magic board, magic board printing practice cards, and write and wipe thin-line markers, messy mats, and no-spill paint cups to the writing center. This will allow the teachers to encourage the children to try difficult activities, which will build positive self image. By learning these important skills, children have the opportunity for better participation in school, at home, and throughout their lives.
