Students take pride in their journals and organizing their notes in their interactive journals. All my students absolutely love having a different color foldable for each section they cover. It makes their notes unique, and most importantly, they take great pride in what they are producing. Students are motivated to keep their interactive math journals up to date and looking sharp. The color of each foldable helps add some fun to other traditional notes. I have created foldables for each section we cover in Math 1 and Math 2. The foldables are printed on colored paper, and they contain examples that are relevant to the material covered in the section we are working on. All of the interactive journals include a table of contents to make sure students stay organized and on track, but most importantly so they can go back and reference their notes.
