These resources will be used every day and significantly improve the lives of my students. As a donor, you will be launching my classroom library and giving my future students the opportunity to engage in meaningful literature on a daily basis. These books will allow students to read independently every day for 20 minutes in the classroom, which could expose them to 1.8 million new words per year! They can also check the books out to read at home, with their parents, and in our daily reading workshops. A vibrant library is a fundamental component of any successful classroom. I want my students to walk in the first day of school and know that I value reading and especially the art of writing. This is my first, and most prioritized goal as a new teacher.
