We will be using various programs to meet the various reading levels in the classroom. I am requesting an inexpensive Radio with a cassette and CD player, portable DVD player, and portable CD players. My students need games and activities that focus on the alphabet, letter recognition, letter sounds, blending, word patterns, and reading fluently. With the use of these devices, the students will have their individual needs addressed and be better prepared to access the curriculum. I want all of my student to experience success! These devices will help my students become ready for reading and help build and improve on the reading skills some of the students have. We will using Hooked on Phonics, Read Naturally, Books on Tape, and other reading support programs. My students need to have many opportunities to hear lots of stories, sounds,letters, and rhymes since most of them are English Language Learners. By hearing the stories and sounds, students will be exposed to lots of new words that they haven't heard before. Your generous donation to our project will improve our classroom by building stronger readers!
