Students in my high school art classes struggle to make realistic artwork on their iPads because a traditional stylus is not pressure-sensitive. That means the digital artwork looks flat. To get more realistic work, the student has to spend twice the amount of time to get the same result, which can lead to eye fatigue. Students who are majoring in art, design and animation deserve the industry standard tools to build their portfolios. There is an equity divide in my classroom, because a few students have access to these tools at home, but the majority do not.
