My school is working on improving our book room and providing books in color. The book room is used by all grades, English Language Learners, and students with disabilities. In supporting this project, it would help get colored books into hundreds of children's hands! Most of the books we have are black and white. You should see my student's faces light up when they have pictures in color in their books. All of the books I am requesting, are in color! The colored pictures will help increase interest in reading. Early readers use the pictures to help tell the story. They use the pictures to figure out unknown words. Always looking at black and white pictures make it more challenging. These books will also serve as our nightly reading as children bring them home at night to reread.
