In my classroom, students have the freedom to choose a seat that works well for them. Because I teach in an inner city school with limited resources, our seating options are minimal. Many of my students prefer to spread out on the floor while they work. Currently, the only option for students who prefer to work this way is to sit/lay on the cold tile floor. This rug would provide students with a comfortable space to sit on the floor during independent work and reading times. By donating to our project, you will help our class feel more like home. Every morning, we have a family-style classroom meeting to prepare for the day. Instead of pulling our chairs into a circle, we would also use this rug as a comfortable meeting place.
