While using the LED Activity Tablet, the children will build relationships with their peers and teachers. They will also build necessary language including both adjectives and nouns as they describe their experiences, ideas and questions with one another. Children will be strengthening 4 C's of 21st century skills (critical thinking, communication, create and collaboration). These materials will provide many opportunities for the children to explore science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematical concepts. The rainbow blocks will help children to learn their shapes and spatial relationships as they build. The polydron pieces will allow children to begin building three-dimensional structures and an understanding of space within. Children will build their science inquiry skills as they challenge their thinking, generate predictions, create solutions to problems and draw conclusions as they learn to work with new materials. Children will learn properties of different materials as they experiment with magnets, light and reflection while exploring the translucent magnetic polydron pieces and rainbow blocks.
