The college banners are to display in our Commons area during our Decision Day celebration. We will use these banners for other college-related events throughout the year. During lunch the seniors will come add their name and college choice to a large paper banner that says "Congratulations COLLEGE BOUND Seniors!". The items I am requesting to use as prizes are things that college students will use their freshman year. These include simple school supplies (e.g. Post-Its, highlighters), bedside organizers, laundry hampers, and kitchen items (measuring cups & spoons, soup mugs, and microwave ramen cookers), to prepare quick meals. I've also requested some candy bars to hand out. The spinner wheel will be used by the students to win the different prizes. The Sharpies and star stickers are for the students to use to decorate their tags to put on the banner. We hope that making it a fun event will generate excitement about college among our underclassmen too.
