Our school is continuing to ensure our students are in an environment that will keep them healthy and safe within the classroom. This unfortunately means that students are not able to share materials and require more resources to minimize the need for stopping to clean throughout the day. As 6-7 year olds, being able to explore, interact and create, both online as well as through hands-on experiences are crucial! Having enough supplies for each child to receive their own set will ensure everyone has the same learning opportunities! First grade can be HARD, but with COVID it's HARDER! Staying seated and needing to keep their things to themselves will be a challenge we will be facing! Morning bins for all, head-sets that allow them to record their own voices and listen to stories independently, and options for flexible seating to help the students who need the sensory support will all be very much appreciated!
