My main goal when it comes to my classroom, is wanting it to be an environment that students feel safe and welcome in. Having my classroom be a place that students feel safe and welcome in, is important. If students feel safe and comfortable, they are more likely to open up and be motivated. The students themselves are inspiring. High school students sometimes have a negative reputation in our society. However, it is refreshing to me, that my students do not fit that stereotype. I truly believe my students are good people, who just want a chance to succeed. The close relationships I try to build with them are important to them. I love to be the person that they come to when they want or need to talk, not just about school related issues, but in life in general. The more dedicated I am to my students, they more dedicated they are to me, and all I want is to do right by them, because they mean so much to me.
