All items meet the school counselor standards, specifically: Standard 2- Direct Services for Academic, College/Career and Social/Emotional Development. This is where journals and stickers are helpful because they allow opportunities for students to grow and evaluate their progress. It also aligns with the Nevada State Social Competencies. Nevada SEL Standards are a mandate and an important piece of creating strong Nevadan leaders as we move forward. These supplies will support Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Relational Skills, and Social Awareness. The floor pillows allow for a space to relax and calm down, and things like hand lotion allow for self-care strategies to regroup and create positive strategies.
