As an adult, I have a hard time sitting in one spot in the same position for long periods of time. I begin to move around a lot and get antsy. I see that in myself as well as with my students. I can't expect them to seat in their seats focusing on the lesson at hand while being extremely uncomfortable. I understand this is hard to do, so I give my students the option to sit where they would like. A lot of my students choose to seat on the floor. The yoga mats I am requesting will provide that comfort for the students. The stools and the recliners will better improve posture as well as classroom communication, collaboration and creativity. Providing students with the choice to be comfortable in their classroom will increase student engagement! Your generous donation to my students will benefit them greatly and help all of them reach their greatest potential in the classroom.
