My classroom is in a small school on the slopes of Haleakala in upcountry Maui. Our students spend a lot of time learning from the nature that surrounds our beautiful school. We are curious and caring, interested and ! We like to share ideas with friends and we work together to solve problems and create solutions. More than half of my students are living below the poverty line and all of them have the ability to rise above it. I strive to create a community of learners who respect and support each other. It is a room filled with love, inspiration and unstoppable spirit!
