My students love to discover new things!! We have enjoyed doing life science with one of the other 4th grade classes earlier this year, and are now working in earth science. They have limited access to experiences that many fourth grade students take for granted. It is the most rewarding feeling to see their faces light up with these new science experiences. Every new discovery they make is another step toward life long success and a desire to further their educations. Many of these students' families will not be able to afford college for them, and these experiences could help lead them to opportunities that they might not otherwise have. These students are hard working critical thinkers with a growth mindset that will allow them to be anything that they want to be.
