My students are very active; on weekends they may be helping their families harvest, caring for farm animals, or riding dirt bikes. I teach multiple subjects to 23 sixth graders and lead enrichment classes with all middle school students. My students are full of energy and absolutely love learning. They want to be in school, and they work extremely hard. We are a designated Title I school, located 25 minutes outside of Paso Robles. My students come to school with smiles on their faces despite any issues going on at home. Some of my students have autism, depression, anxiety, emotional disturbance, and attention disorders. Ranging in age from ten to thirteen, this is an exciting and confusing time for them. They soak in new information, share their ideas with each other, and connect everything they learn to their life experiences.
