My classroom is a place of learning and laughter. The 27 students I teach are the most amazing kids. They teach me as much as I teach them about life, family, friendships, diversity, and of course perseverance. Our academic day is rigorous but it is filled with so much excitement for learning that I can hardly contain the enthusiasm they show. I go to work each day and surprise myself with just how much more I love being there than the day before and the day before that. I have these little minds in front of me that are so ready to learn and feel so safe and secure in this environment that it is like a second home for them. I am lucky to say, without a doubt, that I love what I do and am so grateful for the lives that I am entrusted with. They make me a better person every day.
