My students are in desperate need of books. I work in an extremely high poverty area. My school is in it's first year and our classroom libraries are very small. The media center is severely lacking in variety. Students have very little access to books and other supplies from their homes and neighborhoods which leaves them without resources to complete projects and assignments. My students are eager to learn and really desire to have more variety in the classroom library.
