I am a first grade teacher at a Title I school in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Most of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced lunch, and because of this the entire school receives free breakfast and lunch at school daily. Cahlan's population is mostly EL students who are eager to learn and interact with their friends at school. I was blessed with a truly wonderful class this year. My first graders are kind and respectful little noodleheads who strive daily to do their best. They love learning new things and helping one another. They shock me often with their helpful and inclusive actions within the classroom, and I am very proud of the little people they are becoming!
