The first grade students at our Title I school are a diverse group of language learners with 90% of students receiving free or reduced lunch. Many of our students have never experienced enriching activities such as visiting a museum, theater, or gardens. For many students, their only exposure or use of technology occurs in the classroom. My students are an amazing, hardworking group with a love for learning! They come to school with diverse cultures and languages. We strive everyday to enrich their lives and support their learning in any way possible. Many of our students do not have access to technology and resources at home, which are needed to develop/support technological literacy and academic success. I want to cultivate the talents and interests of our students by providing them with opportunities to explore the world with hands-on experiences that compliment what we learn here in the classroom.
