These tools have made a tremendous difference in how our students approach math, especially as they begin working with more complex concepts like decimals, fractions, and multi-step equations. For many of them, having their own calculator has not only improved accuracy but also boosted confidence—they're no longer intimidated by long calculations and are more willing to try challenging problems. The calculators also help us focus on problem-solving and critical thinking rather than just computation, giving students a deeper understanding of math concepts.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students most is the sense of independence the calculators give them. They love being able to check their work and explore \"what-if\" scenarios on their own, which makes learning more interactive and fun. One student in particular, who used to struggle with math anxiety, now participates more eagerly in class. She says the calculator helps her feel like she's \"on equal ground\" with her classmates and has even started helping others. It's been amazing to watch that kind of transformation—your support truly made it possible!","fullyFundedDate":1756952434790,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-my-6th-graders-with-calculato/9548007/","projectTitle":"Empowering My 6th Graders with Calculator Skills for Higher-Level Math","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Clemetson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6896915_orig.jpg?crop=1122,1122,x0,y29&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1658880175433","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6896915"},{"teacherId":10003100,"projectId":9263278,"letterContent":"Thanks to your kindness, our classroom library has truly come to life with the rotating bookcases! My students love how easy it is to see the titles and the levels of the books, which helps them find just the right book for their reading level. The bookcases have also made it so much easier to keep our library neat and organized, and the kids are excited to take ownership of keeping it looking great. Choosing a book has turned into a fun experience instead of a challenge, and it's wonderful to watch their excitement grow as they browse.\r\n\r\nThe new look of our library has been such a joy for the kids. They love how inviting the space feels now, and even former students who have stopped by to visit have said, \"I wish we had these when I was in your class!\" Your generosity has not only made a difference for the students I have now, but has also left a lasting impression on all who see our classroom library.
