Our students may not always play with toys in conventional ways and, unfortunately, things tend to get broken. I am requesting new toys that we can use during our intensive instruction times as well as some cause-effect toys and simple puzzles we could use during our free play time, where we encourage interaction and functional play. There are a few "odd" items on my wish list, but these items are perfect for kids who are not yet interested in objects (Water beads in a ziplock bag? Amazing new sensory toy!) The donations of this project will encourage my students to be motivated during intensive instruction and will support their growing abilities to play with basic toys, such as wooden puzzles, playsets, building sets, and more. My students need a lot of support and thinking outside of the box, but we celebrate each step they take.
