My name is Lauren Bieniek and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist at the John Street School in Franklin Square, NY. I work with the Intensive Support Program (ISP) at our school which consists of students grades K-6 who have special needs. I work both within the classroom setting, as well as in my office depending on the needs of the students. My students are AMAZING and need every opportunity to communicate within all environments of the school setting. Imagine having so much language inside of you , but not able to voice your words. It is my job to provide them with the best opportunity in order to succeed and functionally communicate. I am looking for ways to provide my students with more resources to functionally communicate within the school environment using technology, pictures, and Augmentative Alternate Communication. I am looking forward to giving my students the voice they deserve! Mrs. Bieniek
