Finding quality, engaging, open-ended activities for my students in their second language is a challenge. Osmos Numbers kit will help them to improve math automatically, a crucial benchmark in 3rd grade. Osmos letters also supports French and is a great way for students to be motivated to build their vocabulary. The collaborative nature of these two games provides engaging competition and allows for communication in French while playing without teacher prep or new rules to learn. I have already purchased one Osmo Genius Kit and have seen its potential to engage my students in new, exciting ways. My students are excited to participate and to eager to speak French. Furthermore, the Genius kit includes Masterpiece and Tangrams, both of which support problem solving and artistic thinking, a perfect blend of STEAM-like activities to help balance out my classroom and provide more opportunities for my students to find and build upon strengths that aren't always recognized by test scores.
