Flexible seating has been proven to help students become more engaged. Research has found that some of the immediate benefits of flexible seating include burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increasing motivation and engagement and improving core strength and overall posture. Physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. When students are comfortable they are more likely to be focused and engaged. By donating to this project, you will be helping to increase student attention and focus which will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Flexible seating options will limit the amount of interruptions caused by needing to move or get comfortable. The wobbly stools and seat cushions will allow for whole body quiet movement. The balance balls will cater to students who need constant leg movement. These will allow students some movement without disrupting the class. I would also like bean bags for students who wish to sit in an alternate space and complete their work. All of these will allow students to be comfortable in their learning environment.
