Interactive technology makes learning more engaging and memorable. Imagine learning about Machu Picchu while exploring its beautiful landscapes, parks and culture with Google Earth. With these iPads we can study Spanish, geography and culture in a more creative way. We will use them to capture photos, create and edit videos, communicate with native speakers while learning and using vocabulary in real-time. Students will be able to connect with video pen pals via Skype to practice speaking and access authentic Spanish texts online. Our students will be able to expand their vocabularies with online dictionaries and thesauruses, play games to practice language and concepts, create and edit videos of their language ability and even track their progress with e-portfolios. With iPads in our language classroom, there is no limit to what we can do!
