I am asking for an area rug for my students to sit on during our class meeting time and small group center time. We work on math skills and share writing activities as a whole group in the meeting place. In addition, my students use this area when working with partners or in small groups. Right now they are sitting on a cold, hard tile floor. The area rug would not only give my students a warmer and softer place to sit, but would also inspire them with the geometric shapes on it. My young students like to sit on the floor as a change from desks and chairs. It gives them an opportunity to move their bodies and interact with different students throughout the day. This area rug would provide an enriched learning area for my students.
