I am requesting Listen and Learn Phonics Activity Program, Twist and Turn 4-Letter Word Builders and other word Building Activities for my students to use while in class. Resources will be used for centers during Literacy. First grade is the year students learn to read. With the supports of the materials, students can develop a love for reading and learning. This is a crucial year for students to develop fluency and comprehension skills in reading. Implementing centers revolved around partner work and collaborating as a team will be enhanced as students learn together with the materials I am requesting. It is essential that centers are fun and engaging for students. Phonics and CVC word building materials provide students with the support to become proficient and above proficient readers. These materials not only support the learning of proficient and advanced readers, but the phonics listening center provides struggling readers with an effective support that will develop their reading skills.
