These materials will help my students to become excited about learning! I am in need of center activities that are engaging and hands on. The math games will help to develop 3rd grade skills such as multiplication (3.OA.A.1), division (3.OA.A.1), fractions (3.NF.A.1), place value (NBT.A.1), and geometry (3.G.A.1). My students are also in need of books to enhance our classroom library and to be able to do novel studies in small group. These books will help students master reading literature standards RL3.1-3.10 and can be used in a variety of ways to meet their needs. After over a year of virtual learning for some of my students, it is clear that they are in need of hands on activities to help them to grasp concepts that we are learning. These learning games will reinforce what we have learned in a fun and exciting way while also practicing social skills such as taking turns and working together. In addition, the magnet charts will allow for visual aids that can be used over and over again . My students are excited at the idea of flexible seating, and these wobble chairs will add to our flexible seating options and provide an alternative to the traditional chair for those students that are still struggling to adjust to the classroom experience. The laser pointer will allow students to take ownership of lessons by becoming lesson leaders and changing the slides for our daily lessons from their own seat. It will also allow me to change slides from the small group table to keep my students who are working independently engaged with new tasks without having to interrupt our small group learning.
