My students come from all over the world. They come to my science classroom highly motivated to become doctors so that "people can stop dying from really small problems", civil engineers so they can help create solutions to the changing climate as well as create sustainable architecture and agriculture for the world in which we live and their children will live. Our urban high school welcomes all students regardless of language or special needs and we continue to accept them year round until we are at capacity which can be up to 1,200 students. Consequently, we lack sufficient access to technology as our school is well below the state's recommendation for a 1:1 ratio.
