The materials requested are going to support literacy in our classroom. As a bilingual teacher, I will be using books with CD for our listening center. I love to instill a love of reading with my children and my favorite unit is Space. I am teaching our children to love and appreciate our Earth. The other materials are to support fine motor skills through hands-on and engaging materials and activities. Being that the students I serve are at risk and some of them have special needs, I feel it is important to give them opportunities to learn skills such as caring for a pet. I believe having a class pet would provide that opportunity for them. In closing, any donation to fulfilling our request would be greatly appreciated! I have never asked for any donations but I can no longer use my own funds to purchase items. I am furthering my education and I am attending graduate school while working full-time. I consider my students my babies and I want to give them the very best. Thank you again!!
