About my class

To motivate student learning and discipline in the classroom, our health and physical education department would like to implement a program to help promote both academic and physical education standards as a means of student engagement throughout the school year. We have a beautiful new gym but not the equipment to utilize it to the fullest capacity. Equipment is essential to promoting physical fitness. Research has shown that when students have a healthy physical outlet such as competitive sports, academic skills soar. Teachers note improved student behaviors and attention to task. Our students need uniforms and basketballs so that we can play competitively. Grades 4 to 6 are currently playing without proper equipment. We have volleyball poles and balls but no net! Having a net will mean that all students will be able to practice this sport during their designated class PE time. Your donation to this ongoing project is greatly appreciated.
