Because my students have severe disabilities, it is very challenging to teach them and provide them with activities that will stimulate their learning. Given the fact that most of my students are in wheelchairs and a few of them are blind, it is difficult to get them involved in the learning process. Most of the materials that I currently have are used for students without disabilities. Thus, the materials are not stimulating enough to help with my students' learning. The materials that I selected are needed in the classroom in order to stimulate their learning. The materials will allow them to learn to hear sounds and respond to the stimulus. Also, the materials are portable, and they can be used in different areas in the classroom. Please consider contributing to this project in order to stimulate my students' learning. The items that I have chosen for my students will help them in many ways. For example, for the students who are in wheelchairs I will be able to lay the iPads on their laps and they will be able to touch and see at a much closer view than on a regular computer. With the iPads the pictures may look bigger to them and they will be able to recognize letters, numbers, etc. There are many apps they will be able to use. Some of the other items that I have chosen for my students involve Elmo, Mickey, Sesame Street, talking and singing the alphabets, numbers, colors, and shapes. These will help my students in memorizing some of the letters and numbers. The other items such as the musical toys and the toys with vibrations, such as the Early Learning Center, Laugh and Learn singing Soccer Ball, the Jumping Jogger Bopper, etc., will help them all focus on learning.
