These novels will put a book in the hands of my students as well as get us a digital copy for my students that are at home. Most times my students complete their reading for the grade. They aren't interested in the subject and find a hard time really digging into the text. This novel is a high interest, contemporary novel that my really grab my students. They will see themselves in this book. They will be able to lose themselves in their reading and learn to love to read. This novel addresses some of the serious social issues that our society faces today. We will be using this novel, as well as other resources to create culture that my students feel safe and heard and will be able to be part of these conversations and make a change in our society. This novel will change my students, not only in their education but for their whole life.
