These laptops will encourage struggling students to feel successful in the learning process. My students can easily feel defeated while working with there classmates in the General Education class, and can easily give up on learning. As a Special Education teacher it is my job to make each one of my students feel confident, and have them enjoy learning. By having my own set of laptops in my room I would be able to support their educational needs, and help them be confident in the class room. By donating to my project you will help instill confidence to those who need it the most, and will set them up for success as they grow older. On these laptops my students will be using programs that challenge them and push them in learning and developing their reading, writing, and math skills. Each one of these programs will adjust to their academic level, and will help monitor their academic success. For example the reading program will read at their level (the computer will read to them if necessary), pace, and have a visual cue to help them improve their reading. The math program will assign them material that they can grow and develop on, and will be an AMAZING tool to help them master their math fluency.
