Today’s learners are functioning in an age where technology drives almost every aspect of their lives. Technology is exciting, fascinating and ever-evolving, and when used thoughtfully, it can transform even the most mundane lesson into one that is powerful and thought-provoking. With the use of the iPad, my English Language Learners will stay motivated in a lesson. It will make it possible for me to walk around the classroom and interact with my students while presenting lessons with creative Preszis, Powerpoint, and more. I feel the iPad is a great tool to use to engaged my students in hands on labs for science. Increase their involvement with interesting and stimulate application of mathematics that are relevant to the real word using lots of graphics with audio and visual media. Present information in small chunks, and have them take part in real world activities. Overall, my students will benefit with this tablet with me creating lessons that will keep them motivated, interested, and engaged which ultimately will improve their mental skills and creativity. Also the use of the iPad will help me gain real time insights as I research students’ needs, challenges, and learning styles which will increase their engagement in my lessons. I will use the iPad to do PowerPoint lessons, create interactive activities, and add visual to assist my English Language Learners. Many of them are performing below grade level as they struggle to become proficient in the English Language.
