To help my students improve their learning I would like to implement flexible seating. I am requesting a range of flexible seats. I would like to get bouncy bands for chairs so that students can bounce their legs without disrupting others. I would also like to provide the students with task chairs around our small group table that way students may swivel while working. CanDo Donut balls are another item I requesting. These are similar to exercise balls only they do not roll all around. Another seating alternative for the students are wobble stools, which are designed for students to wiggle and learn simultaneously. Finally, I would like to have some privacy folders on hand for testing or when students want to complete their work individually. Flexible seating teaches children about responsibility and good choices. Students also develop accountability and take ownership of their learning by choosing seats that allow for them to focus on their education. They also get a sense of independence and choice because they are allowed to choose where they sit, instead of being told.
