Allowing my students to have the chance to use pedometers will help them to see their success and progress firsthand. The can see their daily progress on the pedometer and know how hard they are working. My students need to improve their healthy fitness zones and improve their fitnessgram scores. My students need these pedometers to provide them with experiences that they do not get at home. They do not have the opportunity to use pedometers at home,nor do they have the opportunity to participate in fitness programs outside of school. Having this experience will improve self confidence, healthy fitness zones and help to build friendships as we embark on this adventure together.
