One of the largest struggles in our school is that we do not have smart boards or any other specialty technology beyond a basic projector. Having a document camera will help my students with their understanding of volume concepts in Mathematics. They have struggled with connecting the 3D examples that I show them with the 1D examples printed on the worksheets. Having a document camera will really help them to better understand the connection. This document camera will not only support Volume concepts, but I will use it to help foster a sense of pride in my students work in both Math & Science! They will be able to share their answers and start discussions and academic conversations with the class by showing how they found a certain answer. This will also hopefully create a sense of urgency when solving problems and competition to see who might get to share their work with the class next. Overall, this camera will be a wonderful addition to regular classroom routines and will make a drastic difference in the engagement of all 52 of my students.
